Work Packages

WP 1: Overall project management and coordination

Work Package 1 covers the project coordination as well as regular activity and financial reporting. For the coordination of activities, discussion of the projects progress and necessary decisions six Steering Comitee will take place. These meetings will be amended by further partnership meetings. Preferably, the meetings related to Work Package 1 will be combined with the conferences (WP 2) and workshops (WP 3,4,5).

WP 2: Communication and Dissemination

In Work Package 2, the individual project-related as well as the mandatory South baltic programme-related communication and dissemination will take place. The individual project-related communication will focus on the „classic“ means: website, flyer, newsletter, press-conferences, In addition, 3 conferences (opening, midterm and closing) are planned in ordert o report about the project and ist outputs as well as to consider stakeholders interests, knowledge and views.

WP 3: Innovative solutions for container, bulk and general cargo transport

Work Package 3 aims at the development and implementation of new shipping connections for container, bulk and general cargo to and from the partner ports. The work starts with a market potential analysis. The basic study will be amended by individual assessments of the market potential for shipping connections to and from the partner ports.

In the next step, the project partner ports will approach shipping lines (e.g. at fairs, bilateral meetings). Based on the potential analysis, business cases for new regular shipping connections to and from the partner ports will be assessed in close cooperation with shipping lines. In the next step, after successful negotiations the implementation of new connections will be prepared, also in close cooperation with shipping lines.

WP 4: Innovative solutions for ferry-traffic

Work Package 4 aims at the development and implementation of new ferry (Ro-Ro, Ro-Pax,Rail-Ro) connections to and from the partner ports as well as the strengthening of existing ferry connections (e.g. increase of frequencies, introduction of new productsfor passengers ans cargo). Here starts the work with a market potential analysis. The basic study will be amended by individual assessments of the market potential for shipping connections to and from the partner ports.

WP 5: Green intermodal connections

Work Package 5 aims at the improvment of implementation of intermodal/multimodal connections at the project partner ports or for the transport between partner ports and their hinterland, bot for cargo and passenger transport.
